Jost van dyke, peter island, tortola and st john were the virgin islands stops. . .

Then onto st martin , the riviera of the caribbean, where upon arrival in marigot bay we were greeted with fireworks and a live reggae band blasting out over the harbor.

New years eve at lagoonies bar in simpson bay was an incredible show with fireworks spouting from every compass direction.

And, of course, the french cuisine...c'était bon!!!

sailing past saba island
- with no wind

americano bay

next destination: isla la blanquilla
a remote desert island off venezuela's north coast

it's a secluded tropical paradise, lots of coral, lots of cactus, lots of powdery white sand, a few donkeys, and lots of solitude

wild wild west coast

we traded cigarettes for fresh albacore tuna
YUMMY!!!

kayaking in playa yaqui
past a local fishing boat

after 2 weeks of fresh fish and privacy we were off to babylon,
also known as isla margarita, a tax free venezuelan tourist destination
complete with high rise condos, chrome plated office complexes and horrible traffic

and a great supermarket!

it didnt take long to tire of this island
so after 5 days we left for the mainland of venezuela

puerto santos was a very picturesque fishing village but the crew of the good spaceship naga
forgot to bring out the high-tech photo equipment,
therefore the pictures can only be retrieved thru major brain surgery

beach at cabo san francisco

flukey and light winds plagued us all along the coast but naga just kept on flying and soon we arrived at cabo san francisco, a really spectacular anchorage complete with running water

two rivers come down from the mountain to refresh
all of us thirsty voyagers - sailors and fishers
